The goal for this project was to transform abstract ideas into tangible encounters. My exploration centered on proxemics, delving into the intricacies of personal space. Leveraging digitally created interactivity, I delved into the task of bringing this abstract notion to life through an immersive experience.
My project centered on the intricate interplay of human proximity and personal space, materialized through TouchDesigner. The software allowed me to create captivating visual effects, transforming the abstract notion of proxemics into an immersive, interactive installation.
Through meticulous experimentation and creative exploration within TouchDesigner's capabilities, I achieved an aesthetically compelling representation of personal space. The project, projected onto multiple screens, conveyed an illusion of 180° follow-up, providing an immersive experience within the SCL*. Inspired by artists like Olafur Eliasson and interactive installations like Bloom (2016) by Maotik, this installation showed the potential visuality offers in translating abstract ideas into engaging, tangible experiences.
